Robert H. Wilder, Jr. possesses more than 25 years of experience in the real estate development industry and is currently a principal and member of Wilder Balter Partners, LLC formed in 1996 to develop multi-family and single family homes, both affordable and luxury. Mr. Wilder is also a principal of Griffon Associates, Inc., a construction management firm and a principal of WB Residential Communities, Inc., a property management firm. Prior to forming WBP, Mr. Wilder was the sole shareholder of Wilder Property Companies, Inc. which was formed in 1988. Before forming his own development company, Mr. Wilder was a principal and founder of Wilder Richman Corporation and affiliates formed in 1979 and prior to that, he was an Executive Vice President and shareholder in Related Housing Companies.
Mr. Wilder holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University.
William G. Balter, has been involved in real estate development for more than 15 years. Prior to joining with Mr. Wilder to create Wilder Balter Partners, Mr. Balter founded and ran Balter Properties Inc. In the early to mid 1990's, BPI was very active in the repositioning of bank owned real estate from luxury to affordable housing. In addition, BPI actively redeveloped several commercial and industrial properties. Mr. Balter's focus over the last several years has been on developing luxury and affordable housing in Westchester County.
Mr. Balter holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Skidmore College and a Masters of Science Degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
Gary E. Friedland, Chief Operating Officer, has twenty years experience in property management, development and affordable housing. Prior to joining WBRES, he was Executive Vice President of a property management company with a 30,000-unit portfolio, specializing in affordable and government-assisted housing. Before entering the private sector, Mr. Friedland was one of New York State's highest-ranking housing officials, serving as Assistant Commissioner of the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal for ten years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Political Science from Queens College of the City University of New York.
Kevin G. Bosworth, Chief Financial Officer, holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Saint Michael’s College. When he joined the company in the Spring of 2000, he brought his professional experience of 18 years in the real estate arena. This experience spans many areas including financial analysis, asset management and planning, and auditing and internal controls. Mr. Bosworth has held positions such as Director of Operations, Controller, Assistant Controller and Financial Analyst for companies such as International Business Machines in the Real Estate and Construction Division and Corporate Real Estate Staff and Toll Brothers, Inc., a national homebuilder.
Thomas Imperato, Development Manager, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Fordham College and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. Mr. Imperato is responsible for acquisitions and approvals of new development projects. Prior to joining WBP in June 2000, Mr. Imperato was a real estate transaction and litigation attorney in Yonkers and New York City.
Deborah Post, Vice President, Wilder Balter Partners, Inc., has over 14 years of experience in real estate development, including project management and project financing using a variety of local, State, and Federal financing programs. Prior experience includes serving the City of Peekskill as its Director of Community and Economic Development, Deputy Director of Planning and Development, and Assistant Director of the Peekskill Industrial Development Agency. Ms. Post also served as Senior Development Manager for the New York City Public Development Corporation. Ms. Post holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA and a Masters Degree in Public and Private Management from the Yale School of Management, New Haven, CT.
Debra Reid, Vice President, WB Residential Communities, Inc., has 14 years of experience managing the WB portfolio. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance from Mercy College and has overall responsibility for an extensive portfolio of properties. Ms. Reid has a thorough knowledge of the procedures and regulations of the Farmer's Home Administration, HUD, various State Housing Agencies and specializes in Section 42 Tax Credit Compliance Procedures. Ms. Reid is certified by Quadel in housing tax credit compliance and Fair Housing compliance and served as a compliance trainer.
Kathleen H. Rubin, Vice President, Wilder Balter Partners, Inc., has worked for Wilder Balter Partners since July 1992. Ms. Rubin is responsible for the oversight of affordable housing developments throughout the greater metropolitan area of New York and specializes in the complex financing associated with affordable housing including underwriting and securing subsidy and grant financing from Federal, State and Local sources as well as securing conventional financing and investor equity for construction and permanent phases. Ms. Rubin also oversees developments through the construction process, marketing/leasing phase as well as asset management during operations. Prior to joining WBP, Ms. Rubin was the Controller for a New York City based commercial and residential real estate developer. Ms. Rubin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Bryant College, Smithfield, Rhode Island.
