WBP's specialized skills in affordable, market-rate and luxury housing are derived not only from over 25 years experience, but also from its ability, within a single organization, to provide for the entire housing process, including: site selection; community consensus building; planning and zoning; government loan/grant processing; design and construction; and, finally, marketing, sales, management and syndication.
The principals and staff of Wilder Balter Partners have worked with numerous financial institutions in funding its residential and commercial ventures. Additionally, WBP has successfully utilized virtually all of the major housing programs and regional agencies including the NYS Housing Finance Agency, NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal, NYS Housing Trust Fund Corporation, NYS Affordable Housing Corporation, Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority, Virgin Islands Housing Authority, FNMA, USDA Rural Development, Westchester County Housing Investment Fund, CT Housing Finance Authority, CT Department of Economic and Community Development, CT Department of Housing, NJ Housing Mortgage Finance Agency, Florida Housing Finance Agency, Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency, the Federal Home Loan Banks of New York and Atlanta and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, as well as a variety of local community development agencies and industrial development agencies.
WBP has also developed housing opportunities, including affordable housing, through joint ventures with nonprofit and for-profit sponsors, and with several lenders who have turned to WBP to resurrect foreclosed condominium projects into successful rental housing communities. In addition, WBP and Griffon have been selected as the developer/contractor by five city or county governments, and state housing agencies, to develop or rehabilitate housing in their communities.
